2009.04.17 - Welcome to Kristin Schaffner, the new California Mathematics Council Appointee to the CMP Advisory Board. Kristin is a teacher at Arvin High School and is one of two teachers in charge of their professional development. She is also the primary Associated Student Body Adviser for the junior class at Arvin. She will join the CMP Advisory Board on May 1-2 as they review Applications for Continued Funding. Welcome Kristin!

2009.01.29 - A special thank you to Susan Million for her many years as a member of the CMP Advisory Board. She brought in her experiences as a teacher, as an assistant principal, and as a principal. Many of the directors will remember her observing their summer programs. She was always astute in her suggestions and recommendations. Susan was the State Board of Education appointee. We will miss her! We wish her well!

2009.01.29 - A hearty welcome to Rebecca Parker to the CMP Advisory Board. She is the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) appointee to the Board. She is an Education Consultant on the staff of CTC. She is also working with other CTC staff members to establish the Mathematics Specialist Credential Advisory Panel.

2009.01.29 - We want to thank Lillian Perry who served on the CMP Advisory Board as the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing appointee. Her term as a CTC Commissioner expired in December, and we have gained much from her in this short tenure. She brought to the Board her classroom experience as a middle school mathematics teacher who was passionate about teaching and about working with students. She was always very enthusiastic about her work. She represented the board on one of the CMP Algebra Initiative Committee meetings. Her students are fortunate and will continue to benefit from her expertise and passion. We also thank Lillian for sending us information from CTC.
